The International Bowling Federation signs a new agreement with QubicaAMF
The International Bowling Federation (IBF) has signed a nine-year agreement with QubicaAMF as the exclusive global partner for bowling equipment.
QubicaAMF, the world’s largest bowling products company, will be IBF’s supplier until 2030.
The two sides first entered into a memorandum of understanding in March last year to form a new partnership.
Part of the new agreement will see the two organizations focus on sustainability and the implementation of strategies for inclusion as an international sport.
Qubica AMF will act as a supplier and partner for all IBF elite events, including the 2022 World Games in Birmingham in the United States and the 2023 Santiago Pan American Games in Chile.
The company is also able to adapt to the demands of temporary infrastructure during multi-sport events, which means that permanent bowling centers are not required during major Games.
“Without the support of long-term partners such as QubicaAMF, it simply would not be possible for the IBF to continue its work to develop bowling around the world,” said IBF General Manager Andrew Oram.
“QubicaAMF is now more of an integral part of the bowling course than ever, literally at the heart of the action at every World Cup over the past 55 years and now continues until 2030.
“We are delighted that this long-term strategic partnership continues and we look forward to writing new chapters in bowling history together.”
QubicaAMF’s new EDGE String technology enables bowling to be more environmentally sustainable by using temporary bowling facilities.
“We are honored and touched to have the opportunity to be the exclusive Global Bowling Equipment Partner for IBF,” said QubicaAMF Managing Director Emanuele Govoni.
“Over the past 18 months we have worked closely with the IBF and it has been amazing to see their vision to grow and promote the sport start to come to life.
“We are excited to see what the next decade brings and to be able to provide our new technologies to IBF, support their strategic initiatives and continue to take bowling to the next level globally.”
