TV’s fastest flash may surprise you

While there are many incarnations of The Flash to date, the question of who is the fastest TV flash has mostly remained unanswered so far.

The Speed Force is a mythical, extradimensional energy source beyond the limits of time made of pure speed that gives speedster meta-humans the ability to travel rapidly at incredibly high speeds. It also grants several types of impressive physical feats to its user, including heat protection, regenerative healing factor, superhuman reflexes, virtually unlimited stamina, protective aura, and time travel, as well as other fascinating powers without the laws of physics. their way of achieving greatness. Sound Barrier, Light Barrier, Time Barrier, Dimensional Barrier, and Speed Force Barrier is how the force of speed is measured. While Barry Allen, Wally West and others like them are known to be connected to the Speed Force, at the origin of all speed, the question of who among the speedsters claims the title of Flash the most fast on TV is still unknown.

Arrowverse Barry Allen, played by Grant Gustin, says he’s the fastest man in the world, but Barry from the ’90s series, played by John Wesley Shipp, also has the same honor. Nonetheless, the ’90s show only lasted two seasons, as the CW Flash got the green light for season 8 in February. While both iterations of the character share much of the same abilities, it’s where their experiences differ that sets them apart on their way to becoming the faster version of Barry Allen. Barry Allen from Earth-90 only faced off against Captain Cold, Deadly Nightshade, the Ghost, Mirror Master, and Trickster, as Villains aren’t as prevalent in his version of Central City.

The Flash season 8

Therefore, it can be assumed that the Flash of the 90s was not pushed at the same rate as the Arrowverse Flash because its lack of exposure to villains did not test it as its enemies tried the Arrowverse Barry. The fact that the ’90s show only aired for two seasons is a contributing factor, as fans never got to see what the beefier Allen could do. Additionally, Earth-90 Barry is much older and more carried in the world than his younger counterpart, which takes away his speed, removing him from the race as the fastest Flash on TV.

This leaves Wally West of Justice League cartoon as Arrowverse’s only competitor Barry Allen. In the comics, Wally is faster than his uncle Barry and is the undisputed fastest man in the world. However, in the TV iteration of the character, the answer is less clear. In the Season 2 episode “Divided We Fall”, Wally summons the Speed Force to defeat Lex Luthor / Brainiac by ripping the armor of the fused villain and hitting him at increasingly faster speeds. After finally ripping off his enemy’s helmet, he sends a naked Luthor to the bottom of a crater, defeated. As a result, the Flash momentarily disappears, causing his teammates to fear that the Speed Force will completely absorb him forever. The Justice League then finds a portal to its dimension to save Wally and bring him home by creating a human chain to bring him back to their reality.

However, that’s not to say that CW Barry Allen’s Arrowverse hasn’t beaten its fair share of impossible odds, either. Not only was he imprisoned for several months inside the Speed Force in Season 4, giving him new abilities like Flashtime, but he also broke the Light Barrier in Season 6 when he passed through the immense gravity of a black hole and survived. Additionally, in the Season 7 finale, Barry beat the Reverse-Flash, finally earning himself the title of World’s Fastest Man. Even though Wally West in the Justice League The animated series broke the speed force barrier, if Wally returned to this dimension he would become one with the Force and cease to exist in a tangible way in his reality. Considering the Arrowverse Flash increasing in strength and speed with each season, the sky is the limit for Earth-1 Barry Allen, the fastest real Flash on TV.
